Elvis is in the building.

At a young age I would mimic Elvis Presley singing “Hound dog” and shake my hips for family and my sisters friends at her request. When I found out last year that there was a Elvis Fest that visited Lake George, NY last year, I decided I had to make the trip! So my boyfriend and I packed the car and made a little vacation out of it. I managed to find a very Elvis-esk 1970’s vintage jumpsuit at an antique store a month before the festival and bought a bunch of jewels at a craft store to fashion a belt. And on one Saturday night I got all dolled up and we enjoyed an evening of professional, past Elvis competition performers. The show was awesome, with 3 different performers showing the full spectrum of Elvis’ career, I laughed, cried, danced and cried some more(in a good way)! After the show we enjoyed cocktails with umbrellas in them at a Tiki themed hotel bar which I had long dreamed of visiting. It was worth the wait with a delicious drink, beautiful vintage Tiki themed surroundings and an old jukebox that played for free! Later in the night I got a kiss from a fat Elvis and met one of the earlier performers Ben Portsmouth. It was such a fun evening!
